OUR MISSION, GUIDING PRINCIPLES and GOALS:


It is the intent of the NWA GLBT CC to be inclusive and honor all humans, regardless of sexual orientation, marital status, religious affiliation, age, race, ethnicity, political affiliation, ability, gender, gender identity and expression, socioeconomic status and economic status. In other words, we will not tolerate discrimination against anyone for any reason.

 Mission Statement
The mission of the NWA GLBT CC shall be to enhance and sustain the health and well-being of the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and HIV/AIDS communities by providing activities, programs, and services that:

bulletFoster Unity, 
bulletEmpower Community Members,
bulletProvide Essential Resources,
bulletAdvocate for Civil and Human Rights, and
bullet Embrace, Promote and Support our Cultural Diversity.

Guiding Principles
The principles that guide the actions of the NWA GLBT CC Board of Directors, volunteers, and staff, as well as the design and implementation of all programs, shall be to provide for:

bullet Inclusiveness and Diversity Founded on Human and Civil Rights for all,
bulletFinancial Stability and Integrity,
bulletCompassionate, Quality Service Delivery,
bulletComprehensive and Open Communication,
bulletContinual Quality Improvement,
bulletLeadership Development,
bulletCost-Effectiveness, and
bullet Measurable Outcomes.

Goals

bulletEstablish and maintain a community center to serve Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender individuals, people with HIV/AIDS and those who support our communities, in the Northwest Arkansas area of Benton, Washington, Carroll and Madison counties.   
bulletAcquire and secure a building to serve as a central home for the NWA GLBT CC.
bulletSecure funding and implement responsible financial planning and management to insure the security of the NWA GLBT CC.
bulletProvide and maintain the highest level of integrity, honesty and respect in representing our GLBT family.
bullet Provide a safe and inclusive atmosphere for GLBT individuals and their allies.
